One of my most favorite things to do is to sit down with a big pile of beads, buttons, lace, yarns and different threads and go to town. I recently joined a great group of ladies on Yahoo called Art4Mail. This is my first PC (Postcard) swap with these ladies so I'm pretty excited. My group consisted of 4 other ladies all who will be sending each other a PC. We were to make the PCs depicting an underwater theme. My favorite! I love the ocean, seashells, fish and the the color blue so this was right up my alley. I even made an extra one for a special friend - her birthday is soon so thought I would surprise her - Happy Birthday Lin!
Your postcards look great! Can't wait to see what you get back in the exchange!
ReplyDeleteWill they get mailed as they are? or mailed in an envelope??? I just wonder about the beeds gettign caught in the PO's machines. ~bonnie
Thank you Bonnie! They will get mailed out in cellophane envelopes. They do have quite a bit of embellishment on them so I actually placed a couple pieces of pretty tissue paper over the fronts to pad the beads and left the backs (address part) exposed. I also always make sure I have them handstamped BEFORE they go into the mail.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! good idea using tissue paper for a little protection.
